Salary Range: $56,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wayland that are seeking skilled Quoting Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for customers based on specifications and pricing models.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to gather necessary information for quotes.
• Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents to determine material and labor costs.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems and quoting software to generate and manage quotes.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding quote details, revisions, and lead times.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and cost sheets.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the quoting process.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) for BOMs, routings, and pricing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for cost estimation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for tracking quotes and customer interactions.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for accessing product data and pricing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis and quote generation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
