Salary Range: $82,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Battle Creek seeking experienced Supplier Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement programs.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and purchasing to establish supplier quality requirements for new product development.
• Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reliability.
• Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions and other quality documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality-related matters.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
• 3+ years experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and tools (e.g., PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC)
• Proven experience conducting supplier audits and driving corrective actions
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications (GD&T proficiency preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier collaboration and internal stakeholder management

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced quality planning (AQP) tools such as PPAP, APQP, and FMEA.
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSGB, CSQP).
• Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to speak a second language relevant to the global supply chain (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, German).
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and quality management software.
