Staff Accountant | Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Traverse City seeking Staff Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and variances.
• Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports.
• Support annual external audits and provide requested documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting
• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
