Staff Accountant | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Hudsonville region seeking Staff Accountants. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing supporting schedules and analyses.
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
• Support inventory costing and valuation, including variance analysis and adjustments.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to gather financial data and improve reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis
