Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Fremont region seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and expense reports for payment.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Generate customer invoices and manage accounts receivable aging.
• Apply customer payments and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank statements.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures related to AP/AR.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer records in the accounting system.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle
• Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and its specific accounting processes
• Ability to perform basic data analysis and generate reports
• Experience with a procure-to-pay or order-to-cash software solution
