Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hudsonville that are seeking skilled Applications Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand application requirements and propose solutions.
• Develop and implement software applications for controlling manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing applications, providing timely resolution to production issues.
• Configure and optimize applications to improve efficiency, yield, and quality in manufacturing.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for application design, functionality, and usage.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on application operation and best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative technical solutions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation or data analysis.
• Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and related technologies (e.g., IoT, AI in manufacturing).
• Previous experience in a customer-facing technical support or sales engineering role.
