Salary Range: $82,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection methodologies.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for complex quality issues.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools for process improvement and defect reduction.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives with critical suppliers.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and manufacturing personnel.
  • Drive the implementation of industry best practices and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, predict potential issues, and drive proactive solutions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and their practical application.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and various quality tools (e.g., FMEA, Control Plans, MSA).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving teams.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers or lead small project teams.
