Salary Range: $77,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Zeeland that are seeking Automation Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and deploys automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Programs PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots for various production lines.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with existing automation systems and equipment.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
• Implements and maintains industrial control systems, including SCADA and MES.
• Conducts testing, validation, and optimization of automated systems.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation for automation processes and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer) or a related technical field.
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in programming PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
• Experience with robotics (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, Universal Robots) and vision systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize automated systems to improve efficiency and reliability.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with MES/MOM systems.
• Familiarity with ISA-95 or similar industrial control standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work with and integrate legacy manufacturing systems.
• Experience with vision systems for quality control or robotic guidance.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an OT environment.
