Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Deliver EHS training programs to employees, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering field.
• 3+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and develop effective corrective actions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for training, auditing, and collaborating with all levels of staff.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM) are highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

• HAZWOPER certification (24-hour or higher)
• Experience with ISO 14001 or other environmental management systems
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application to EHS
• Experience with EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Enablon)
