Salary Range: $66,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Coopersville seeking Environmental Health & Safety Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide EHS training to employees on topics such as lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and hazard communication.
• Manage hazardous waste programs, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare regulatory reports (e.g., OSHA 300 logs, air permits).

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering field.
• 3-5 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct EHS training, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Experience developing and implementing EHS programs and procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and their application to EHS
• Experience with worker's compensation claims management and return-to-work programs
