Salary Range: $48,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Otsego that are seeking skilled EDM Operators. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
• Set up workpieces and program EDM parameters according to specifications.
• Monitor EDM processes for quality control and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance on EDM machines and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Document production activities, including part counts and machine performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years experience operating EDM machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• Strong understanding of G-code programming and machine setup.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve common EDM machine issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Basic understanding of PLC programming for troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform minor mechanical adjustments or repairs.
