Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Muskegon seeking EHS Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of preventive measures for EHS incidents.
• Manage and maintain all EHS training programs, ensuring employees are adequately trained on safety protocols and procedures.
• Oversee the hazardous waste management program, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate EHS considerations into new projects, equipment, and processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
• Certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM is preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• CI/Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for EHS performance analysis.
• Experience with a recognized EHS management system software (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).
• Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist).
