Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Montague that are seeking Controllers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead the annual budget process and provide ongoing financial forecasting and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, material, and overhead, to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification preferred
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP implementation or major upgrade
• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience in a private equity-backed environment
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
