Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators).
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine alarms, tool wear, and basic programming issues.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
• Document production data, including part counts, scrap rates, and quality checks.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes (e.g., Star, Citizen, Tsugami).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits at the machine.
• Experience with in-process inspection using various metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
• Strong understanding of cutting tools, materials, and machining parameters for small, complex parts.

Bonus Qualifications

• Programming experience with G-code
• Experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit)
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance
• CMM operation experience
