Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Montague that are seeking skilled CNC Swiss Lathe Operators. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
• Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and programs to maintain part specifications and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine alarms, tooling issues, and process deviations.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Document production activities, quality checks, and machine adjustments accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC Swiss Lathes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Ability to perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools

Bonus Qualifications

• Ability to program G-code directly at the machine control
• Experience with CAM software for generating complex tool paths
• Proficiency in using statistical process control (SPC) for quality monitoring
• Demonstrated ability to train junior operators on machine setup and operation
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
