Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine calibration and verification of manufacturing equipment and instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust malfunctioning calibration equipment and devices.
  • Document calibration results, maintain accurate records, and generate calibration certificates.
  • Develop and implement calibration procedures and work instructions in accordance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure equipment accuracy and minimize downtime.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to calibration processes and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality management system requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, metrology, mechanical engineering technology) or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience performing calibrations on manufacturing test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, torque wrenches).
  • Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3).
  • Proficiency in using calibration software and managing calibration records within a CMMS or similar system.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and manufacturer's specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with vision systems or automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs or adjustments to test equipment.
  • Certification in a specific calibration discipline (e.g., ASQ CCT).
  • Experience with Gage R&R studies or measurement system analysis (MSA).
