Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Hudsonville seeking EDM Operators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain EDM machinery for precision manufacturing.
• Program EDM machines using CAD/CAM software to meet part specifications.
• Perform routine quality checks on finished parts using various metrology tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with EDM machine operation and programming.
• Select appropriate electrodes and machining parameters for different materials and geometries.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on EDM equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings for machining requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience operating EDM machinery
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Basic computer skills for machine interface and data entry

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for minor design adjustments
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM machinery
• Strong understanding of different material properties and their impact on EDM processes
