Field Service Technician | Battle Creek, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Battle Creek that are seeking Field Service Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions on-site.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery according to schedules.
• Install, calibrate, and commission new manufacturing equipment at client facilities.
• Repair and replace faulty components, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during field service operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
• Certifications in specialized industrial equipment (e.g., hydraulics, PLCs, robotics).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
• Basic welding or machining skills for minor repairs and fabrication.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
