Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Delta Township that are seeking skilled Fabrication Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor fabrication team, fostering skill development and a collaborative work environment.
• Oversee daily fabrication operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols and best practices within the fabrication shop.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex fabrication issues, optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
• Manage material inventory, ordering, and allocation for fabrication projects.
• Conduct quality inspections of fabricated components to ensure compliance with specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of various fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, STICK), cutting (plasma, laser, saw), forming (press brake, roll), and assembly processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of skilled fabricators.
• Experience with quality control procedures and ensuring products meet specifications and industry standards.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing designs or creating shop drawings.
• Certifications in welding (e.g., AWS D1.1) or other specialized fabrication techniques.
• Proven ability to train and mentor junior fabricators.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
