Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Delta Township that are seeking First Article Inspectors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed dimensional inspections of first article parts against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools and equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records for each first article.
• Identify and document non-conformances, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
• Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and other technical documents to ensure accurate part inspection.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections as required, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with various measurement tools beyond CMM (e.g., optical comparators, micrometers, calipers).
• Familiarity with GD&T principles and application.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with AS9100 or other quality management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
