Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of first article parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators, to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting non-conformances and deviations from specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
• Review and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing work instructions to ensure product compliance.
• Maintain inspection equipment through regular calibration checks and proper handling to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Provide feedback to manufacturing and engineering on potential design or process improvements to enhance product quality and manufacturability.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102/AS9100 standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
