HR Manager | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking HR Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention for a diverse workforce.
  • Oversee performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and HRIS for factory and office staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a positive work environment.
  • Conduct training and development programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  • Partner with leadership to support organizational change and strategic initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA).
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HRIS utilization.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and union relations (if applicable to the specific manufacturing environment).

Bonus Qualifications

  • SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Familiarity with a specific HRIS (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors)
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish)
