Inspection Technician | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products.
• Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products according to established procedures.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment as required.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Familiarity with various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and inspection techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CMI, CQIA).
• Basic understanding of GD&T principles.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
