Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Walker seeking PLC Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC programs for automated manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing PLC programs and control systems.
• Design and configure HMI applications for operator interface and control.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to define system requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of control systems and sensors.
• Document PLC programs, electrical schematics, and system configurations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience programming PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi) in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram programming.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA systems development and integration.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Familiarity with SCADA/HMI development and integration.
• Proficiency in robotics programming (e.g., KUKA, FANUC, ABB).
• Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Knowledge of high-level programming languages for data analysis or custom tool development (e.g., Python, C#).
