Payroll Specialist | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Administer timekeeping systems and ensure compliance with company policy and labor laws.
• Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare related financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and timekeeping.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and GAAP principles.
• Experience with payroll reconciliation, general ledger integration, and year-end processing (W-2s, 1099s).
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
