Payroll Specialist | Wyoming, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Wyoming seeking experienced Payroll Specialists. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or deductions.
• Calculate and submit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Administer and track employee benefits such as 401k contributions, health insurance, and paid time off.
• Prepare and distribute W-2 forms and other year-end payroll reports.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paychex Flex) and HRIS systems.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of gross-to-net calculations, deductions, garnishments, and benefits administration.
• Experience with timekeeping systems and their integration with payroll.
