Operations Manager | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $105,000 - $152,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify areas for financial improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of production supervisors and frontline staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and data analysis.
• Collaborate with supply chain and sales to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
• Implement new technologies and processes to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and productivity.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Familiarity with automation technologies and Industry 4.0 principles
