Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Holland that are seeking skilled Lean Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes.
  • Implement Lean tools and methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver training on Lean principles and tools to manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process standardization and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to Lean initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects resulting in measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to identify root causes and drive solutions.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing process analysis and improvement, including time studies, line balancing, and bottleneck identification.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, or higher is highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience with simulation software (e.g., FlexSim, Arena)
  • Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, robotics)
