Inventory Control Manager | DeWitt, MI

Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory processes, identifying and resolving root causes of variances.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize stock while minimizing carrying costs and avoiding stockouts.
• Analyze inventory data and generate reports to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics to ensure efficient material flow and inventory turns.
• Lead and develop the inventory control team, providing training and performance management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and demand forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and implement process improvements to optimize inventory levels.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
• Project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
