Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Rockford region seeking HR Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee recruitment and staffing for all manufacturing roles, from shop floor to management.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures specific to the manufacturing environment.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances within the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing operations.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing and leave management for manufacturing employees.
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and development plans for manufacturing staff.
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives to enhance skills and productivity among the manufacturing workforce.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HRIS utilization.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance within a manufacturing setting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS implementation and optimization
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver HR training programs
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
