HR Generalist | Coopersville, MI
Salary Range: $61,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Manages full-cycle recruitment for production and skilled trades positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer management.
- Administers employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave management, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping.
- Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new manufacturing employees.
- Provides HR support and guidance to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
- Assists with HR data management and reporting, maintaining accurate employee records and generating reports as needed.
- Supports HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management cycles, training programs, and policy updates.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations within the manufacturing environment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Bonus Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
- Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization
- Demonstrated ability to analyze HR metrics and provide data-driven recommendations
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
