Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Charlotte that are seeking Help Desk Technicians. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for manufacturing software and hardware issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to production machinery and control systems.
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution and maintain a knowledge base of solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals on the manufacturing floor.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues for production equipment and user workstations.
  • Conduct routine system checks and preventative maintenance on manufacturing IT infrastructure.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for industrial equipment and standard office systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common manufacturing-specific software applications (e.g., ERP, MES).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide clear, concise technical support to users with varying technical proficiencies.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or other factory floor software.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA) or robotics.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an OT (Operational Technology) environment.
  • Certifications in ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.
