Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
• Conduct Gage R&R studies and other measurement system analysis as required.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
• Provide training and technical support to personnel on metrology best practices.
• Select, apply, and maintain various types of metrology equipment, including CMMs, vision systems, and hand tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine appropriate measurement techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in metrology within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating and programming CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
• Experience with various measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with automated metrology equipment (e.g., automated CMMs, optical scanners with robotic arms).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Familiarity with programming CMMs using DMIS or other proprietary software.
• Knowledge of GD&T interpretation and application beyond basic understanding.
