Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Fremont that are seeking skilled NPI Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability and cost.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.
  • Conduct process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ, to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks throughout the NPI lifecycle.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for existing manufacturing processes and products.
  • Support pilot production runs and resolve technical issues during product ramp-up.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply engineering specifications, schematics, and design documents.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, test, and quality control.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and PLM systems (e.g., Agile, Teamcenter).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving manufacturing issues.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) for manufacturing quality.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis and automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior engineers or technicians.
  • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
