Salary Range: $74,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues on production machinery and control systems to minimize downtime.
  • Implement, program, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other industrial control systems.
  • Ensure all electrical installations, modifications, and repairs comply with industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E), and company policies.
  • Lead or support electrical engineering projects, including installation, commissioning, and upgrades of manufacturing lines.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and mechanical engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs)
  • Proficiency in designing and troubleshooting electrical power distribution systems (low and medium voltage)
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and codes (e.g., NFPA 70E, NEC)
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical)
  • Experience in specifying, installing, and calibrating industrial instrumentation and sensors

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
  • Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) for panel design and layout.
  • Experience with industrial robotics, machine vision systems, or SCADA integration.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certification or experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
