Salary Range: $66,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs for all employees, including new hires and refreshers.
• Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, determining root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Manage hazardous waste streams and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain and update EHS documentation, permits, and records as required by regulations and internal procedures.
• Develop and implement EHS programs such as Lockout/Tagout, confined space, chemical safety, and emergency preparedness.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state EHS regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.
• Proven ability to conduct hazard assessments, incident investigations, and develop/deliver effective EHS training programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience implementing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) to EHS initiatives.
• ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) or ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) Lead Auditor certification.
• Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Cority, Gensuite, Intelex).
• Demonstrated ability to analyze EHS data, identify trends, and develop predictive metrics.
