Salary Range: $53,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of machinists, providing technical guidance and training.
• Set up, operate, and program complex CNC machinery for precision part production.
• Perform quality inspections of finished parts to ensure adherence to engineering specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, machine malfunctions, and tooling problems.
• Optimize machining processes and programs to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints and develop machining strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in precision CNC and manual machining.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and using CAM software for programming.
• Demonstrated ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on various machine tools.
• Strong understanding of metrology, quality control processes, and shop safety standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAM software for toolpath generation and optimization
• Experience in designing and fabricating custom workholding fixtures
• Familiarity with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM operation, laser trackers)
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement certification/experience
