The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Charlotte that are seeking Press Operator / Setups. Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and calibrate manufacturing presses for production runs.
• Operate various types of presses (e.g., stamping, forming) to produce components.
• Perform routine in-process quality checks and visual inspections of parts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or machine malfunctions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products from machinery.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and maintain a clean workstation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up various types of manufacturing presses.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and performing quality checks.
• Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification
• Experience with quality inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
• Basic computer skills for data entry or system interaction (e.g., ERP/MRP systems)
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or 5S methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings or schematics
