Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize welding processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Develop and implement welding procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, materials, and consumables for manufacturing needs.
• Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices, safety, and new techniques.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure weldability of manufactured parts.
• Monitor and control welding parameters to maintain weld integrity and meet quality standards.
• Manage welding consumables inventory and ensure proper storage and handling.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) certification.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing welding procedures (WPS/PQR) for various materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, and quality control principles.
• Experience with welding automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with robotic welding systems and programming
• - Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods like UT, MT, PT, or RT
• - Familiarity with advanced welding processes such as laser welding or electron beam welding
• - Knowledge of additive manufacturing techniques for metal parts
