Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain welding equipment according to safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to join metal components according to specifications.
  • Inspect welds for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and blueprints.
  • Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components.
  • Troubleshoot and make minor repairs to welding equipment as needed.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
  • Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Document welding activities, including materials used, parameters, and inspection results.

Recommended Qualifications

  • - High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary welding certification preferred.
  • - Proven experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
  • - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
  • - Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
  • - Experience with quality control and inspection of welds.
  • - Familiarity with various metals and their welding requirements.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with robotic welding systems
  • - AWS Certified Welder (specific to relevant welding processes)
  • - Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods
  • - Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
