Quoting Specialist | Newaygo, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer RFQs, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Calculate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs to develop accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams for technical validation and cost inputs.
• Prepare and submit detailed, competitive, and professional quotes to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of all quotes, pricing, and customer communication in the system.
• Follow up on submitted quotes and negotiate terms to secure new orders.
• Identify and implement improvements to the quoting process for efficiency and accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a quoting, estimating, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications (GD&T knowledge preferred).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material costs, labor rates, and overhead calculation.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and quoting software; strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple quotes simultaneously.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with common ERP or CRM systems.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and cost modeling.
• Familiarity with technical drawings or CAD software.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles or cost reduction methodologies.
