Salary Range: $48,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Rapids that are seeking skilled Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Manage payroll processing, including tax filings and employee expense reimbursements.
• Prepare and generate financial statements, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and standard accounting software.
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles and inventory management practices relevant to manufacturing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Understanding of inventory management or cost accounting principles
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Experience with multi-entity accounting or intercompany transactions
