Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using specified software.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications for measurement planning.
  • Select appropriate CMM fixturing, probes, and measurement strategies.
  • Execute CMM programs, analyze measurement data, and generate detailed inspection reports.
  • Troubleshoot CMM program errors and assist with equipment malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Perform routine CMM maintenance and assist with calibration activities.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles and blueprint reading.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in CMM operation and programming within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to develop, debug, and validate CMM inspection programs for complex parts.
  • Experience with CAD software for model-based programming and feature extraction.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for model-based programming or feature extraction.
  • Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping) relevant to the parts being inspected.
