Salary Range: $46,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and adjusting offsets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality and adherence to tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Adjust machine parameters (feeds, speeds, depth of cut) to optimize production and quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms or operational issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and material properties.
• Experience with in-process quality inspection and maintaining tight tolerances.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with CAD/CAM software for program optimization or fixture design
• Experience operating CMMs or other advanced metrology equipment
• Demonstrated experience in preventative maintenance or minor machine troubleshooting
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
