Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment and gauges.
- Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced measurement systems.
- Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts, tools, and assemblies using various precision instruments.
- Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with measurement equipment and processes.
- Maintain accurate calibration records, documentation, and traceability according to quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Metrology, Quality, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience using precision measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with various metrology tools including CMMs, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Solid understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with calibration principles and metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with automated metrology systems or scripting for data analysis.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar continuous improvement training.
- Proficiency in advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) for SPC and MSA.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model-based inspection.
