The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.
• Collaborate with production and planning departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or supply.
• Ensure all purchased materials and services comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks and identify new opportunities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills with a track record of cost savings.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and forecasting.
• Experience with international logistics and import/export regulations.
