Quality Technician | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications.
• Conduct various tests using precision measuring equipment and document results accurately.
• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and support root cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection logs, and generate quality reports.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
• Ensure adherence to quality control plans, procedures, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or assurance role.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic SPC principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM programming or operation.
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar certification.
• Familiarity with Minitab or other statistical analysis software.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
