Quality Technician | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications.
• Conduct various tests using precision measuring instruments and equipment to verify quality standards.
• Document inspection results, test data, and non-conformances accurately and thoroughly.
• Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment and gauges.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for quality deviations.
• Ensure adherence to established quality procedures, work instructions, and industry standards (e.g., ISO).

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control role.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality tools (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis).
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software.
• Proficiency in CMM operation and/or programming.
• Internal Auditor certification (e.g., ISO 9001).
