Salary Range: $66,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees on topics such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response.
• Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage hazardous waste programs, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal procedures.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, prepare regulatory reports, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Implement and maintain EHS management systems and programs to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• 3-5 years of EHS experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific environmental and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems.
• Proven ability to conduct EHS training, incident investigations, risk assessments, and internal audits.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
• Experience with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).
• Background in Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Certified instructor for First Aid/CPR, HAZWOPER, or other relevant EHS training.
• Experience conducting EHS audits or participating in Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP).
