Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded firmware for manufacturing equipment and products.
- Integrate embedded software with hardware components, ensuring seamless operation on the production line.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex embedded system issues arising during manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Develop and maintain production test fixtures, programming tools, and diagnostic software.
- Optimize embedded system performance, reliability, and cost for high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and hardware teams to define requirements and resolve production challenges.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for embedded system designs and manufacturing processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development.
- Extensive experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC) and their peripherals.
- Practical experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
- Ability to debug hardware and firmware using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
- Experience integrating embedded systems into manufacturing or industrial automation environments.
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, or other factory automation equipment.
- Background in designing robust systems for harsh industrial environments (e.g., EMI, temperature, vibration).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for industrial control systems (ICS) or IoT devices.
- Experience with HMI or industrial user interface development.
